Early Morning Light
I think the best time of the day is, by far, first thing in the morning as the sun is rising. The low sun bathing everything in its warm golden light makes everything look softer and the long and deeper shadows gives a greater depth.
Puerto Almerimar
One of my favourite places in the world is Puerto Almerimar where I spent several weeks staying on the port aire. Every morning at sunrise I would walk my two huskies around the quays enjoying the golden sun and calm views.
Clouds over The Rock
Further along the southern coast is La Línea de la Concepción and this is where the next two photos were taken.
The first being one of the unusual cloud formations over the Rock of Gibraltar as the sun was rising.
Red Sun
This second photograph was taken further back but facing the sea. Quite often the morning sunrises provided dramatic and colourful displays and it was a pleasure to walk along the promenade watching the colours change as the sun slowly rose out of the sea.
Fire tree
This final photograph just had to be included. The unique angle of the rising sun caught this tree in early Autumn and looked as though it was the proverbial burning bush or tree in this case.
